Specials

P.E.

Physical wellness is imperative to the success of each student.  Nutrition and exercise are an integral part of each day.  Large and fine motor skills, along with left and right, and sensory skills are practiced twice a week.  Structured class periods teach and emphasize the value of good health habits, how the body works and the playing of organized games and sports introduce the concept of teamwork. 

 

Spanish

Candil Hall elmentary students "Sing and Speak" their way through beginning Spanish! Once a week, using songs, games, visuals, and repetition, "Sing and Speak" Spanish allows Candil Hall students to hear, speak, and sing Spanish words, individually and in sentences.

 

Keyboarding

All K through 5 Candil Hall students use "Typing Instructor for Kids" to learn keyboarding.  Once a week, crazy, typing fingers tap away from the home keys to actual text to become proficient keyboarders. (Spelling improves too!)
